I wish to fill little bottles
urns, vases, and vessels
with zealous starlight,
golden yellow tinted cobalt, rose, and aqua,
flavored with wispy nests of clouds
fluff under fingertips,
flasks of eternally momentary
packaged
polished hope.

I could dive,
swoop-surf through the bronze sky
plus well beyond it to the oxygen-thieving void of quiet
no, silent glints of deprived suns,
to fill my bottled bundles of wonder
my ribboned-filled jugs of gifted wishes.

May the wind coax down
my makeshift shooting comets
to an imaginative child,
a questioning adult,
to anyone willing to look above and see,
who seize my beautifully cloaked chalices as they fall
one’s floating gift someone else’s wish
I an anonymous goddess, jolting magician of beyond
that believes in these beings,
hoping that I might be believed in too.
